Vicksburg Rocket Football is open to all youth between the ages of 5-12. We have two divisions: Heads Up (tackle) and Flag. Heads Up teams are 3rd/4th grade and 5th/6th grade. Flag teams are 5/6 years old, 7/8 years old, 9/10, and 11/12 years old. 

Vicksburg Rocket Football Teams:

FLAG DIVISION:

5/6 years old Flag Football
Must be 5 by August 31st

7/8 years old Flag Football
Must be 7 by August 31st

9/10 years old Flag Football
Must be 9 by August 31st


11/12 years old Flag Football
Must be 11 by August 31st


Girls Only Division
Ages 5-12, Teams will be created based on enrollments by age (5/6, 7/8, etc.)

Cost: $100 per player February 1 - August 7; sibling $20 discount*

Pending participants in the 11/12 flag division, it may be combined with the 9/10 to ensure adequate teams can be made for the season. 
Pending Participants in the Girls Only Division, some ages may need to be combined with regular season divisions in order to ensure adequate teams. Communication will be sent prior so parents can decide to participate in Co-ed or not. 

HEADS UP DIVISION: (residency restriction: must live in the Vicksburg school district or attend a Vicksburg public school)

A player’s grade for the current school year shall determine their grouping for the season in the 3rd & 4th grade group. However, a 2nd grader who turns 8 prior to September 1st  will be eligible to play in the 3rd & 4th grade group. If a player is 10 years old as of September 1st and in the 4th grade they may play in the 5th & 6th grade group or choose to remain in the 3rd & 4th grade group. 

3rd and 4th Grade Heads Up Football

Max Ball Carrier Weight - 100 lbs.
Must be in 3rd grade or turn 8 years old by September 1st

Equipment Needed:

• Certified Helmet (cannot be more than 10 yrs. old)
• Chin Strap
• Shoulder Pads
• Black Football Pants
• Cleats
• Mouthguard (must attach to helmet. Provided free of charge if needed)

Cost: $150 February 1 - August 7 -sibling $20 discount*

5th and 6th Grade Heads Up Football

Max Ball Carrier Weight - 145 lbs.
Must be in 5th grade or be 10 years old by September 1st

Equipment Needed:

• Certified Helmet (cannot be more than 10 yrs. old)
• Chin Strap
• Shoulder Pads
• Black Football Pants
• Cleats
• Mouthguard (must attach to helmet. Provided free of charge if needed)

We offer an Early Registration discount of $10 for any registrations before June 1st

A $25 late registration fee will be applied for any registration after August 1st

To ensure adequate time for ordering jerseys and other necessary equipment, we have a hard deadline on August 7. We will NOT take any more participants past this time. Registration is open for 6 months, please plan accordingly if you would like your child to participate in the program.
